A greener future for motoring is on show in London next month, at an event which eco-friendly Car Loans customers may want to visit.

The British International Motor Show will feature demonstrations of how new and used car drivers can cut their vehicle emissions and lower the running costs of their vehicles.

Show organisers and partners Co-operative Insurance and the Department for Transport's ACT ON CO2 campaign have created a greener driving pavilion, which will include interactive displays, vehicle cutaways and simulators.

The latest technologies, from fuel cells to electric vehicles to hybrids, will be on show and drivers can pick up tips on how to help the environment and their bank balance.

Jim Fitzpatrick, minister for transport, says all drivers can make changes to their everyday activities to help tackle climate change.

"I am delighted that the British International Motor Show has taken this opportunity to focus on greener vehicle options and help motorists reduce their impact on the environment and make cost savings at the same time," he adds.

The show takes place at ExCeL London from July 23rd to August 3rd.

More than 160 exhibitors are taking part, including Vauxhall, Honda, Toyota, Land Rover and Alfa Romeo.
