Jeep has announced a new entry-level model, which coupled with Car Finance may be the most affordable way yet to get started in off-road driving.
The Patriot is a scaled-down version of Jeep's traditional designs, bringing the tough looks of its larger SUVs into a much more accessible price range.
Guide prices start from just under £16,000, putting it in the same sort of range as the popular VW Golf and Ford Focus, although the Jeep offers a thoroughly different look and driving experience.
The Patriot comes with either a 138bhp petrol or 168bhp diesel engine, and with an impressive combined fuel consumption of over 42mpg for the petrol model is surprisingly efficient for a car in this class.
Drivers with a little more money to spend and looking for something even more powerful – and a little larger – have a wide range of other 4x4 Jeep vehicles to choose from, including the Grand Cherokee and the Wrangler.
Off-road motoring needn't be a distant dream, as with a new Car Loan – or used car finance – you can vastly extend the number of rugged vehicles you can afford.
