Taking Car Credit can help you drive away in one of the new, improved Mondeos, which Ford has confirmed are more upmarket than before.

The chairman of Ford of Britain, Roeland de Waard, told Motor Trader than the LX model in the previous range had been discontinued for the new Mondeo, part of the firm repackaging this popular, reliable vehicle.

As well as overhauling the body styling to give a sleeker, more aggressive look, Ford has improved the interior looks, making this a more sophisticated car than the model it is replacing.

"We've deleted the LX – we only want vehicles which are aspirational and well equipped," Mr de Waard told Motor Trader.

"That way when they come back as used cars they will have the features which will definitely be in demand and that will positively impact our residuals," he added.

The company also scored a serious coup when planning the new Mondeo's advertising, managing to get the car featured in the latest James Bond film, being driven by Daniel Craig himself.

Recommended prices for the new model start around £15,000, a price easily affordable for most households when combined with a flexible Car Finance or Car Loan deal.
