Europe's most popular car helped by car credit

Once again the Peugeot 207 has been crowned the most popular car in Europe, no doubt helped by its low price point and the ease one of these great cars can be bought with Car Finance.

In May almost 40,500 of the small Peugeots were registered, a mere 500 more than the persistently popular Ford Focus; the VW Golf once again came in third, according to data from Jato Dynamics.

VW, however, took the top honours as the brand selling the most vehicles overall.

"Today's European car market is a challenging environment. We continue to see the importance of new products in the fight for market share," said Nasir Shah, international sales director at Jato Dynamics.

"The product lifecycles for cars are getting progressively shorter as manufacturers clamour to win the attention of consumers with new models, and those manufacturers with aggressive product development strategies continue to reap the rewards," he added.

The UK entry price for the 207 is around £10,000, a competitive price for a car this well designed, and an easily affordable price when spread over low monthly repayments through taking Car Credit or a Car Loan.
