French car manufacturer Citroen has revealed a new car which boasts the lowest carbon dioxide levels on the market, according to Auto Trader.
The company unveiled the new 1.6-litre engine C2 diesel to add to its range that offers 64 mpg of fuel economy and emits 119 g/km of CO2.
Auto Trader states that as well as being one of the most eco-friendly and fuel economic of the manufacturer's range, it is thought the new car will fall into vehicle excise duty band B - one of the lowest bands available.
Apparently, the new car has a top speed of around 120 mph and gives 80 per cent more torque than its predecessor.
Last month the Telegraph's Mike Rutherford said that Citroen and Hyundai were a great option for those looking for a new or used car.
"Bargain hunters can do no better than buy a big, petrol-engined Citröen, Hyundai, Peugeot or Renault because they can be had for next to nothing," he writes.
