The Daihatsu Sirion could be a great option for new Car Finance customers looking for an affordable, spacious supermini, a review in the Times has suggested.

According to the newspaper, the Japanese manufacturer's latest revamping of the compact vehicle is surprisingly impressive considering the company's low popularity in the UK market.

It is reported that the new car, which is available in 1-litre and 1.3-litre versions, is available with a number of modern features such as air conditioning, remote central locking and CD player. It is also noted that in purchasing a Sirion, car finance customers will be securing an economical option.

"Despite the absence of a diesel option few buyers will be disappointed to learn that the 1-litre model can achieve more than 55mpg in the combined cycle while the 1.3 does about 48mpg," the review states.

Daihatsu has been in the UK car market since 1964 and was the first Japanese manufacturer to sell on British forecourts, however, last year the company sold 4,024 new cars - 113,000 less than Toyota.
