New Kia SUV for car loans customers

Car Finance customers looking to secure a family-sized SUV may be interested to hear that a new model from Kia could be heading to the UK.

According to Auto Express, the South Korean manufacturer has unveiled details of its latest entry into the people carrier market ahead of its appearance at January's Detroit Motor Show.

It is reported that the vehicle, which will be available in V6 and V8 petrol engine versions, will go on sale under the name Borrego in the US and that the car will be a rugged new entry into the SUV market.

"With a variable four-wheel-drive system and plenty of torque, the Borrego … promises superb towing capacity and decent off-road ability," the magazine states.

Although the car could face stiff competition from the likes of the Land Rover Discovery and Hyundai's Santa Fe, it is reported that it will offer more space than Kia's current Sportage and Sorento models.

The Sportage was reintroduced in 2004 came under fire from some critics who pointed out that the car had been made larger and as such had lost some of its off-road capabilities.
