Peugeot is set to enter the SUV market with a brand new model, which could be of interest to new Car Finance customers with families.

According to Auto Express, the new car will rival other entries in the market such as Nissan's Qashqai and the Volkswagen Tiguan and will be named the Peugeot 3008.

It is also reported that a large part of the 3008's styling borrows from the manufacturers 308 RC Z coupe and that the car has been designed to offer a range of different spatial configurations from its five and seven-seat versions.

Referred to as "tough-looking" and economical, the magazine states that drivers - including those with approved car finance - will have the choice of two and four-wheel drive versions across both cars.

"The four-wheel-drive transmission is to be reserved for top-of-the-range models, which will provide the go-anywhere traction of a proper 4x4," the article states.

Earlier this month, the magazine reported that the Peugeot 308 RC Z coupe would go into production following positive feedback on a conceptual show model.
