A new article has warned used car customers that making sure a vehicle is given a thorough check can be vital in the long-term.
It is reported this week by Auto Express that faulty used cars can cause a great deal of problems further down the line if the vehicle has a history of faults and adds that a "pioneering new scheme" could help consumers avoid these issues.
The service, put together mycarcheck.com and Nationwide Auto Centres, aims to avoid shoppers wasting their Car Loans on a cloned second-hand car by providing a full 15-point check for a fee of £24.95.
Commenting on the launch of the scheme Roger Powell, general manager of mycarcheck.com, said that the service uses fully qualified engineers to check safety and reliability across all parts of the vehicle.
"We aim to make sure any car we inspect has not been scrapped, stolen or cloned. If we find something wrong, our team can help sort everything out at no extra cost," he said.
Last week an article for komotv.com, cited a recent study Carfax which showed a growing number of used cars were "rebuilt wrecks".
