Citroen Xsara

Average. A good, unpretentious family car that has been crucial to Citroen's assault on the value-driven market. Price and equipment levels keen.

Citroen Berlingo Multispace

Average. Van-based people carrier that offers plenty of space comes with a bargain pricetag.

Citroen Saxo

Not Recommended. Cheap, cheerful transport inevitably sold with a keen discount or free insurance. Old and outclassed, it also lacks modern impact protection.

Citroen Picasso

Not recommended. Cheap but desperately outdated compact MPV. Only seats five and can't match more modern rivals for quality or driving experience.

Citroen C5

Not recommended. A big, dated hatchback and estate that only makes sense with one of Citroen's big discounts.

Citroen C3

Average. Characterful supermini marred by cheap-feeling construction and indifferent dynamics - but priced to sell.

Citroen C8

Average. The largest member of Citroen's MPV family, but feels a bit old-fashioned and expensive next to the newer C4 Picasso.

Citroen C3 Pluriel

Not recommended. There's a good idea lurking somewhere within the C3 Pluriel - but you'll have to spend a long time searching for it.

Citroen C2

Average. Cheap and cheerful city car, but cramped compared to the competition.

Citroen C4

Average. Cool looking Focus competitor that offers lots of VFM - but which is pretty average on everything else.

Citroen C1

Clean, green and clever - but why would you pick one over the pretty much identical Toyota Aygo?

Citroen C6

Average. But mainly because it's expensive and likely to depreciate heaviliy, and because some won't like its quirkiness.

Citroen C4 Picasso

Set to storm the mid-sized MPV segment? Probably.

Citroen C-Crosser

Recommended. An impressive debut SUV for Citroen - just a shame it offers little of the innovation that the French brand was once renowned for.
