Audi A4

Recommended. The latest A4 is much more than just a facelift. A supremely confident car, it exudes an air of quality and refinement. Revised suspension and a brilliant range of engines complete the package.

Audi A3 (96-03)

Average. Stylish, premium-badged medium hatchback feels dated and soon replaced by all-new model. Equipment levels poor on cheaper versions.

Audi A3

Recommended. Beautifully built and well styled, the new A3 may be costly but it provides a very enjoyable drive, much improved handling and superb engines, especially the 2.0 FSI.

Audi A6

Recommended. Big, refined and effortlessly classy - the A6 should be high on any executive shopping list.

Audi A8

Recommended. Audi's full-sized executive saloon majors on waft and effortless progress, although only the seriously wealthy need apply.

Audi TT (99 - 06)

Highly Recommended. The looks, the image, the whole shebang. This is an iconic coupe and one that continues to turn heads no matter how many there are on the road.

Audi A2

Recommended. A cross between a supermini and a baby MPV, this dinky Audi is cool to look at, well built and very spacious. However, A2 struggles with a high price tag.

Audi A6 (97-04)

Average. Competent mid-sized executive saloon offering solid build, good equipment and safe dynamics. Unlikely to set pulses raising, though.

Audi A4 (01 - 04)

Highly Recommended. Beautifully styled inside and out, and a great drive, too. Holds its value on the secondhand market, so 100% value for money.

Audi Q7

Recommended. Not the prettiest thing you've ever seen, but Audi's formula of club-class quality and high-tech engineering should put the Q7 somewhere near the top of the premium SUV pile.

Audi TT

Highly recommended. Great to look at, brilliant to drive and surprisingly practical. If the new TT has a serious flaw, we've yet to spot it.

Audi R8

Highly recommended. Not what we expect from Audi, but the R8 is superb

Audi A5

Recommended. This is a refined big coupe with some sparkling engines, so it's a shame that the drive doesn't quite live up to the promise of its looks.
