Peugeot 1007

Not Recommended. Originally intended to appeal to the young and funky, the Peugeot 1007 has become a motorized Zimmer frame.

Peugeot 106

Average. Older than the hills, but Peugeot's dinky runabout is so cheap it still has plenty of fans among those looking for a value-for-money city car.

Peugeot 107

Recommended. A funky city car - and sister to the Toyota Aygo and Citroen C1.

Peugeot 206

Average. Moribund supermini that survives in the pricelists as a cut-price alternative to the newer, better 207.

Peugeot 207

Recommended. Bigger and better than the 206 - the new 207 is determined to put the super into supermini.

Peugeot 307

Average. Distinctly average family hatchback with decent all-round talents - but a terrible driving position.

Peugeot 308

Recommended. The 308 represents a return to form for Peugeot - it's amongst the top three family hatches going.

Peugeot 4007

Average. The third and most disappointing product of the Mitsubishi/PSA collaboration, let down by its clumsy front-end and lack of trim options. It is also rather expensive.

Peugeot 406

Average. Peugeot's spacious family car is a stylish alternative to mainstream rivals. It's getting old now but still looks good and is a comfortable, rewarding drive.

Peugeot 407

Recommended. Good looking and well equipped, but it feels cramped compared to more spacious rivals.

Peugeot 607

Not Recommended. People who buy executive cars want a prestige badge (BMW, Mercedes etc) not one associated with £10K hatchbacks. Pointless.

Peugeot 807

Average. Utterly bland, completely sensible. A big people-mover that carries seven in comfort, but you'll have to look elsewhere for excitement.

Peugeot Partner Combi

Average. A van with windows and seats, intended to carry cargo of the human variety. Plenty of space, well built and reasonably nice to drive. Better equipped than Citroen Berlingo sister, but costs more.
