Review

Since Seat was swallowed up by the mighty VW Group their cars have improved considerably. The Toledo is probably the pick of the bunch with admirable all-round ability in a no-nonsense package. A mid-size saloon, it can take five people and their luggage with ease in comfortable surroundings. The interior's up to scratch and you could say the same about the styling too. The 1.9 TDi serves up good performance and economy but it's hard to ignore the pulling power of the 2.3-litre V5 than also drives and looks the part.
