Recommended. A very good-looking luxury two-door from the maker of the world's most comfortable car seats. Not the most exciting to drive, but a pleasure to sit in.

Review

Volvo is renowned for its safety standards but now it's focusing on design too and this Coupe/Cabriolet is a stunner. The interior is light and airy, and a joy to be in; all the controls are exactly where they should be. Blissful tranquillity is the best way to describe the cabin when you're cruising down the motorway - there's no noise from either the road or the engine. It's not a sporty car to drive, but it is comfortable and all the engines afford more than decent performance, especially the T5. All in all, a very classy - albeit pricey - car. A new version is due in 2006, including a folding hard-top convertible.
